Strain Profile Notes:
Super-hardy Siberian Ruderalis is autoflowering semi-wild landrace from Lake Chebarkul (Russia). High trichome production, used by villagers to make tasty mildly-psychoactive CBD-heavy hash (flowers test at 0.1-1% THC & 5-9% CBD). Aromas of Pungent Citrusy, Sweet, Floral with hints of Pine and Spices. Grows up to 4-6’ (can top-off indoors). Towards end of flowering ~1/4 of plants show purple/mauve. Extremely sensitive to nutrient burn, requires very little nutrients & relatively poor soil to thrive (even less than most landrace strains because this herb grows in rocky soil). Plants can receive mild nutrient solution in 2nd half of life cycle.
Note: this herb originates from a place with super-cold winters (-6°F/-21°C), seeds have extra-thick, waterproof shell which (in-the-wild) helps them sprout in late spring after winter is over. Breeder suggests cold-treating or cracking/nicking seeds. (Soaking seeds in water w/ aloe vera gel and cracking after soak helps achieve germination rates over 80%. Youtube video tutorial available on request.) (These seed packs include extras so growers can practice the seed cracking method.)
This Landrace could be a precious asset to breeders looking to create hardy XXL (large) autoflowering strains with a unique flavor…
